Larijani calls for collective efforts to settle regional crises
Tehran, Sept 20, IRNA Majlis (parliament) Speaker Ali Larijani called for collective efforts of all countries to help resolve the ongoing regional crises.

'Settling the existing challenges and crises of the region and the world needs international determination of all countries,' Larijani said in a meeting with Dutch Foreign Minister Bert Koenders in Tehran on Sunday evening.

Larijani pointed out that the Islamic Republic of Iran has always reiterated the need for holding talks and a political solution to the regional crises.

The Iranian parliament speaker, meantime, pointed to the long track record of Iran-Holland friendly relations, and said, 'The good track record of cooperation between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Netherlands have paved the way for suitable grounds for the expansion of political, economic, cultural and parliamentary ties between the two countries.'

Larijani reiterated the importance of exchanging views and continued consultations between Iran and the European on different regional and international issues.

The Iranian parliament speaker underscored the importance of using the existing opportunities for the expansion of mutual cooperation between the two countries in energy and renewable energies and water resources between the two countries.

The Dutch foreign minister, for his part, pointed to 400-years of relations between the Netherlands and Iran, and said, 'The nuclear agreement between the Group 5+1 (the US, Russia, China, France and Britain plus Germany) has opened new horizons for the two sides in different political, economic and cultural areas.'
