TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Armin Hadipour of Iran claimed a gold medal at the Kazakhstan Open Taekwondo Championships 2015 on Sunday.

The Iranian athlete defeated Uzbekistan�s Valentin Khegay in the -54kg in the final match and won the gold medal.

Mohammad Kazemi also from Iran was knocked out in the weight category after being defeated by Kazakhstan�s representative.

Behnam Asbaghi, Armin Hadipour, Mohammad Kazemi, Farzad Zolghadr and Omid Amidi are representing Iran in the tournament.

The Kazakhstan Open Taekwondo Championships has brought a total of 369 athletes from 33 countries together in Almaty.
