Tehran, November 11, The Iran Project- Thehead of Iran's Red CrescentSociety says Iran is to equip a plane with an aerial hospital for the first time ever in the world.
Speaking in the joint meeting with Iran's ambassadors and heads of diplomatic missions to other countries on Wednesday, Dr. Amir Mohsen Ziaei thehead of Iran's Red CrescentSociety noted the importance of urgent aerial assistance to the affected countries at the time of emergency. He stated that Mahan airline is to provide the Iran's Red Crescent an aircraft which is to be equipped with an aerial hospital equipment and facilities.
He then underlined Iran's Red Crescent remarkable role at the time of assistance in international level as a member of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC), adding that the society is widely known as the body ready to deploy missions in international emergencies.
Referring the society's establishment of about 30 centers in 23 countries across Asia and Africa to supply free sanitary and medical services to the affected people and communities, Ziaei added that Iran's Red Crescent has the widest network of the volunteers and relief workers across the globe.
