Vienna, Nov 14, IRNA Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab-African Affairs Hossein Amir-Abdollahian on Saturday conferred with heads of western and Arab delegations prior to Syria peace talks underway in Vienna.
Amir-Abdollahian discussed issues of mutual interests with heads of delegations from Iraq, Russia, Oman, Lebanon, Italy and EU foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini.
He reviewed the latest developments in Syria in a trilateral meeting with special representative of President Vladimir Putin on the Middle East Affairs Mikhail Bogdanov and UN Secretary General special envoy on Syrian Affairs Staffan de Mistura.
He arrived in Vienna, capital of Austria, on Friday evening to attend the third round of Vienna talks on Syria.
Representatives of governments of Iran, US, Russia, France, China, Britain, Germany, Italy, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Turkey, Egypt, United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Jordan, Lebanon, Oman, Australia, EU foreign policy chief attended the Conference as well as UN secretary general special envoy in Syria Affairs Staffan de Mistura.
