Iran calls for global resolve in anti-terror fight

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani says an all-out fight against terrorism requires global resolve.

The battle against terrorism needs the determination of all countries [around the globe], the Iranian president said in a meeting with Kazakhstans Foreign Minister Erlan Idrissov in Irans capital, Tehran, on Wednesday.

The international community must work to stem terrorism with attention to the roots of the phenomenon, Rouhani stated.

He further warned against ignoring terrorism as the main threat and said cooperation between countries is necessary in overcomingthe problems in the region.

Idrissov, for his part, lauded the Islamic Republics key role in providing security in the region and resolving international issues.

The topKazak diplomat said his countrywas willing to expand trade ties with Iran.

The meeting came as gruesome violence has plagued Irans neighbor Iraq ever since Daesh Takfiri terrorists launched their offensive in the Arab country in June 2014, and took control of parts of the Arab country. The terror group has also been wreaking havoc on Syria.

The terrorists recently expanded the acts of terror, killing more than 130 people in a series of raids in the French capital of Paris, and claiming responsibility for the deadly downing of a Russian passenger plane in Egypt.
