Ejei: Storming Saudi embassy against Iranian law and regulations

Tehran, Jan 3, IRNA - Judiciary spokesman Gholamhossein Mohseni Ejei said on Sunday that the attack on Saudi Arabia embassy on Saturday evening was against Iranian law and regulations.

During storming the Saudi embassy in Tehran, some people were arrested, some under legal prosecution and some others identified, he said.

Speaking to reporters, Ejei said the crime committed by Al-Saud has injured sentiments of Muslims but any action in the country should be in conformity with laws and regulations.

The criminal deeds of Al- Saud in the region is a source of regret, he said, adding that the world is now witnessing the Al-Saud bombing all infrastructures in Yemen and killing defenseless women, children and elderly people, he said.

Al-Saud which fully backs Takfiri groups has a red hand in their crimes in Iraq, Ejei said.

Al-Saudi is also responsible for the crimes being committed in Bahrain by backing the Bahraini regime's suppression of defenseless people, he said.

Execution of prominent Shia cleric Sheikh Nimr Baqr al-Nimr has injured the sentiments of world Muslims and freedom seekers, he said.

It is very regrettable that the so-called human rights activities and institutes have kept mum, not have they taken any move in condemnation of this crime, he said.

Sheikh Nimr was arrested in the Qatif region in July 2012, charged with threatening the kingdoms security, making anti-government speeches, and defending political prisoners. Sheikh Nimr had denied the accusations.

In October 2014, a Saudi court sentenced Sheikh Nimr to death, provoking huge condemnations and criticism in the Middle East and the world.

On October 25, Nimrs family confirmed that the Saudi Supreme Court and the Appeals Court had endorsed a death sentence issued last year against him for inciting sectarian strife and disobeying King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
