TEHRAN (ISNA)- Afghanistan's Chief Executive Abdullah Abdullah arrived in Iran on Monday for a three-day visit.
He would discuss issues of mutual interests as well as key regional and international developments with senior Iranian officials.
Abdullah is officially invited by Iranian President Hassan Rouhani and was welcomed by First Vice President Eshagh Jahangiri.
Afghan President Ashraf Ghani has already visited Iran. Abdullah is the second Afghan high-ranking official visiting Iran over last few months.
Abdullah plans to visit Chabahar Port (in southern Iran) and discuss trilateral cooperation among Iran, Afghanistan and India on boosting capability of the port and turning it into a center for goods transit from east to west and vice-versa.
