Tehran, Jan 5, IRNA President Hassan Rouhani said Tuesday in a meeting with Head of Afghan Chief Executive Abdollah Abdollah that Tehran favors comprehensive expansion of relations with Kabul, especially in economic, cultural and environmental fields.
In his Tuesday evening meeting with Afghan chief executive, President Rouhani said that Iran is willing to expand cooperation and ties with all its neighbors, including the friendly and brotherly nation of Afghanistan in all fields of mutual interest.
Abdollah Abdollah appreciated Iran's widescale support for the people and government of Afghanistan.
The Afghan chief executive said that his country was entangled with crises throughout consecutive decades and the Iranian nation and government stood by Afghanistan in all those years.
He thanked Iranian government for admitting the Afghan students to study in Iran from primary school to university level with no restrictions in the fields that are needed in Afghanistan.
'We would have needed great investments to train that many specialists and it would have taken long years to provide the required infrastructure for Afghanistan,' he said.
