Rome, Jan 9, IRNA On the verge of President Hassan Rouhani's visit of Rome, Italian Foreign Minister Paulo Gentiloni said his country will be the first European country to be visited by a high ranking Iranian delegation in post nuclear agreement era.
In comments published in La Stampa daily on Saturday, he said that the Iranian high ranking delegation's visit will be an opportunity for securing the two major countries in Europe and Asia to secure not only their national, but also the regional and international interests.
He said that Rome will not miss the opportunity to encourage Tehran and Riyadh for dtente during the visit.
The Iranian president is scheduled to visit Italy from January 25 to 27 on an official invitation of his Italian counterpart.
In addition to meeting the Italian president, prime minister and other high ranking officials, President Rouhani will have a short visit to Vatican in which he will meet the Pope and meet a group of Italian investors and industrialists.
