Russian agriculture watchdog warned Iran against transit of Turkish goods, which have been banned by Moscow.
MOSCOW (Sputnik) Russian agriculture watchdog Rosselkhoznadzor warned Iran againsttransit ofTurkish goods, which have been banned byMoscow, the agency's head, Sergey Dankvert, said.
"Rosselkhoznadzor warned Iran aboutinadmissibility oftransit ofTurkish goods throughthe country," Dankvert said, asquoted bythe Russkaya Sluzhba Novostey radio station onSunday.
He added that Iran was expected tostart deliveries ofpoultry toRussia afterJanuary 20, and ofdiary products afterFebruary 15.
Relations betweenMoscow and Ankara deteriorated followingthe downing ofRussias Su-24 frontline bomber overSyria bya Turkish jet onNovember 24.
On November 28, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree oneconomic measures againstAnkara inretaliation forthe downing ofthe Su-24 aircraft. The decree, which entered intoforce onJanuary 1, 2016, included a food import ban oncertain categories ofproducts.
