Tehran, Jan 20, IRNA Foreign Ministry Deputy for Arab and African Affairs Hossein Amir Abdollahian voiced concern over the growing tension across the region.
In a meeting with the UK Foreign Office's Political Director Simon Gass here, Amir Abdollahian focused on the recent developments in the region as well as the increasing trend of terrorist actions noting that Iran is deeply concerned about the present situation.
He called for the help of international community to resolve current regional crises.
Eafrlier in the day, the British diplomat met with the Iranian Foreign Ministry deputy for Western Europe Affairs during which he discussed different aspects of mutual cooperation between Tehran and London after the re-opening of their respective embassies in the capitals following implementation of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).
The officials also reviewed ways of promoting economic, trade and consular cooperation as well as exchange of political delegations.
During that meeting, Gass also explored new chances before the two countries for further cooperation in post-sanctions era.
In another meeting with Deputy Foreign Minister for Europe and American Affairs Majid Takht-Ravanchi, the two officials reviewed situation in the Middle East region including the conditions in Syria, Yemen, Bahrain and Iraq.
Gass outlined Londons views about the ongoing developments in the region and stressed the need for all parties involved to focus on the sensitive situation to work out solutions for the existing crises.
