France may extend its state of emergency until there is no more threat of terror from Daesh, Prime Minister Manuel Valls said Friday.
MOSCOW (Sputnik) The state ofemergency was declared inFrance followinga series ofterror attacks byDaesh-linked militants inParis onNovember 13, which killed 130 people and wounded hundreds.
Asked bythe BBC how long he expected the state ofemergency toremain inthe country, Valls replied, "As long asthe threat is there, we must use all the means untilwe can get rid ofDaesh."
France is amonga coalition of65 countries fighting against Daesh prohibited innumerous countries including the United States and Russia inboth Iraq and Syria.
In the wake ofthe Paris attacks, French President Francois Hollande pledged todo his utmost tocounter terrorism, particularly Daesh, both domestically and globally.
