Iran, China to broaden media cooperation in post-JCPOA era

Tehran, Jan 23, IRNA Visiting Director of China's State Council Information Office Jian'guo met on Saturday with the Managing Director of the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) Mohammad Khoddadi on ways to develop media cooperation.


Accompanying the Chinese President, foreign minister has led a delegation of media persons to Tehran.
Chinese director of the state council expressed the hope that media cooperation between Iran and China should be bolstered to get acquainted with the two nations, calling for exchange of media delegations.
He said that there are many media in China and the Chinese people closely know Iranian president as well as the Silk Road and Iran's news are now reflected round the clock in China.
'We are to broaden relations and cooperation with Iran through more acquaintance between the two nations,' he said.
The Chinese envoy, submitted an ancient page from a Chinese book dating back to 300 years ago to IRNA managing director.
IRNA managing director said for his part that historical relations between Iran and China dated back to Before Christ and IRNA in its reports has demonstrated prospects of trade and commerce between the two countries.
IRNA spares no efforts to enlighten the mind of its news readers and introduce the two sides untouched capabilities, Khoddadi said.
He expressed the hope that relations between the two countries news agencies would further develop helping enhanced relations between the two countries.
IRNA provided 5,000 university students with scholarship to study in various universities in professional journalism, Khoddadi said.
