TEHRAN, Jan 31 (Shana) -- Iran expects to start gas recovery from a field in the Persian Gulf island of Kish by mid-2017, a senior petroleum official says.
Petroleum Engineering and Development Company (PEDEC) Abdolreza Haji-Hosseinnejad told a press conference on Saturday that the field's development project has been delayed for several reasons but plans are underway to start gas production from the field by mi-2017.
He said drilling operations are going on at the field by PEDEC.
Haji-Hosseinnejad the project's refinery is put to tender and will be financed by foreign investments; moreover, seaborne pipelines to transfer its gas are being laying out.
