Rome, Feb 9, IRNA � Italian Parliament Speaker Laura Boldrini is to pay an official visit to Tehran after upcoming parliamentary election in Iran, it was announced on Tuesday.

According to Iranian Embassy in Rome the visit is to take place upon official invitation extended by Iran's Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani.
The timing of the visit has not been set yet.

Italian parliament speaker has always called for expansion of parliamentary relations between Tehran and Rome and during the last year visit of the Iranian Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Ali Jannati to Rome, she said the parliamentary diplomacy will bring the two nations and governments much closer.

Italian parliament speaker already invited her Iranian counterpart to pay a visit to Italy.
