Tehran, Feb 17, IRNA - Minister of Intelligence Hojjatoleslam Seyed Mahmoud Alavi said on Wednesday that Iranian security forces have busted tens of terrorist operations.

In the past two and a half year, tens of terrorist operations in various cities such as Tehran were discovered and busted instantly.

He described the planned operations as bomb explosion and suicide bombing in metro stations, bazaar, Friday Prayer sermon in Tehran as well as Zahedan and Shiraz.

Some 1,500 youths were to join terrorist groups who were advised by the personnel at the ministry to change their ideas, he said.

Intelligence forces spare no efforts to restore calmness and security to the society, he said.

Active and mass presence of people in the upcoming parliamentary elections as well as Assembly of Experts will demonstrate Iran's might and glory, Alavi said.
