Kish, Hormuzgan prov, March 16, IRNA - First Airbus-320 aircraft landed in Kish airport on Wednesday, a local official said.

Managing director of Kish Air Mohammad Ali Sadat Akhavi told IRNA on Wednesday that the aircraft is the first one of this kind to land in the Persian Gulf island since removal of sanctions against Iran.

According to the official, the aircraft which has the capacity to carry 180 passengers arrived in the island from Jordan this morning.

A similar airplane is to arrive in Kish Airport in a few days, he added.
