Tehran, April 8, IRNA Minister of Communications and Information Technology Mahmoud Vaezi and Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu in Ankara on Thursday discussed issues of mutual interest.
Vaezi, President Rouhani's special representative to Turkey, is currently in Ankara at the head of an economic delegation to attend the 25th Iran-Turkey Joint Economic Commission session.
Touching on Iran-Turkey cooperation in the fields of economy, culture, trade, industry and terrorism campaign, he described the recent visit of Davutoglu to Tehran as 'fruitful.'
'The visit has opened a new chapter in relations between the two countries,' Vaezi noted.
'The two countries could boost the level of mutual cooperation to the highest level and utilize the untapped potentials,' he said.
He also invited the Turkish investors to invest in Iran's infrastructure sector.
He also emphasized the need for fostering the two-way banking, transportation and tourism cooperation.
Davutoglu, for his part, said Turkey is fully ready to make investment in several areas in Iran, tourism industry, in particular.
Vaezi arrived in Ankara on Wednesday night.
While in Ankara, Vaezi held talks with several Turkish high-ranking officials.
