TEHRAN, April 27 (Shana) -- Iranian Minister of Petroleum Bijan Zangeneh hosted a meeting with the ambassador of Netherlands and representative of Royal Dutch Shell in his Tehran.
The meeting was aimed at exploring avenues for energy cooperation between the two countries and energy giant Shell.
Earlier in December 2015, Zangeneh hosted a meeting with Dutch Economy Minister Hank Kamp in Tehran during which the two sides discussed cooperation between Iran and the European country in areas like renewable energies, reduction of energy intensity in Iran, petrochemical projects and reduction of flare gas emissions in Iranian refineries.
Royal Dutch Shell was the first major company to settle its oil debts to the Islamic Republic immediately after the US-led sanctions were lifted against Tehran's key economic sectors.
