Tehran, May 2, IRNA Iranian Parliament has given permission to the government to grant Iranian nationality to non-Iranian martyrs.
The majlis members, in their Monday morning session, referred to certain articles in law to give green light to the government to grant citizenship to the spouses, children and parents of those people who were non-Iranians but lost their lives during the eight years of war against former dictator of Iraq Saddam Hussein or during missions they carried out for the country.
They urged the government to grant the Iranian nationality to this category of applicants within maximum one year.
