TEHRAN, May 18 (Shana) -- Planning Director of the National Iranian Gas Company Hassan Montazer Torbati said Iran has finished construction of a gas pipeline to send its gas to neighboring Iraq and has handed over the pipeline to its operator in the last step to start the gas export.
Torbati told Shana on Wednesday that since the beginning of the current Iranian calendar year, Iran has been ready to export gas cargoes to Iraq.
A while ago, injection of gas to the final section of the pipeline was carried out and the line has been handed over to its operator, he said.
"Measurement facilities are ready to operate in the Iran-Iraq border," he added.
