Tehran, May 23, The Iran Project Iran owes its dignity to the vigilance of Supreme leader, says Major General Qasem Soleimani, a commander of Irans Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) giving speech in a conference attended by Grand Ayatollah Hossein Nouri-Hamedani at Qom Seminary School on Monday.
A conference named "Revolutionary Hawzah, fears and hopes" was held in Qom seminary, marking the 34th anniversary of the liberation of the strategic port city of Khorramshahr from Iraqi forces under the former dictator Saddam Hussein.
Islamic Republic of Iran owes its dignity and security to the wisdom and vigilance of the Supreme leader, said General Qassem Soleimani during the conference.
Saying that all Shia seminaries are revolutionary, Soleimani stressed on the role of seminaries in the Islamic Revolution of Iran.

Elsewhere in his remarks, the commander also commemorated the revolutionary action of Holy Shrine defenders in Syria and said they preferred the interests of the nation and Islam on his own to defend Islam.
Referring to various national and religious events the country is now dealing with, he stated that without the revolutionary spirit, our society will become like Afghanistan or other countries like that.
Iranians mark 34th anniversary of Khorramshar liberation the strategic southwestern city which Iranian soldiers recaptured from Iraqi forces on May 24 1982 during the Iraqi imposed war on Iran.
The operation Beit Al- Moqaddas put an end to 575 days of Iraqi occupation of Khorramshahr in southern Iran. Iraqi imposed war on Iran started in 1980 and lasted till 1988.
