TEHRAN, Jun. 15 (MNA) Director General for International Bureau at the Ministry of Agriculture Hooman Fathi said Iran and the Philippines are willing to escalate agricultural cooperation.
Fathi made the remarks on Tuesday at a meeting with the Philippines ambassador to Tehran Eduardo Martin Menez.
The two sides also emphasized the need for reinvigoration of collaborations, trade in agricultural crops, exchange of expert delegations as well as bilateral visits.
The meeting also decided to ink a deal for plant protection and quarantine in order to facilitate trade on agricultural crops.
Revising former agreements on agriculture cooperation and considering existing barriers in the way of implementation of the agreements were also discussed and reviewed during the meeting.
