Iran abided by its obligations under JCPOA: MP

Iran abided by its obligations under JCPOA: MP
Tehran, June 18, The Irran Project - Despite Irans compliance with its obligations in JCPOA, US is seeking to undermine its undertakings in post-JCPOA era, says an Iranian MP.

Referring to the Islamic republics Leader remarks on burning the JCPOA if the opposite side violates it, Hajar Chenarani a member of national Security Council and foreign policy commission highlighted that Iran has been compiling with its obligations over implementation of the provisions.

We will not violate the JCPOA, but if the opposite side violates it - as US presidential candidates are currently threatening to tear up the JCPOA - if they tear up the JCPOA, we will burn it, the Leader stated during a meeting with senior officials on June 14.

Criticizing countries which put Iran under pressure for visa issuance restriction, Chenarani underlined that prior to signing 5+1 deal, Iran knew that US would violate the JCPOA, despite that Iran tried to show its good will.

We inked deals which finally resulted in nuclear agreements due to diplomatic efforts, in hope to pave the way for resolving problems, Tehran representative reiterated.

She further elaborated on the existence of the problems in post-JCPOA atmosphere, underscoring new events and sanctions in the stage of International economy.

On the condition that US continue stonewalling in Irans visa issuance, Iran reacts them tougher than ever, she concluded.

Back to December 15, 2015, the U.S. Congress passed a law restricting visa-free travel rights for people who have visited Iran or hold dual Iranian nationality, a measure that Irans foreign minister called a breach of the deal.

While the JCPOA, a 159-page nuclear agreement between Iran and the Group 5+1 (Russia, China, the US, Britain, France and Germany) came into force in January, Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei said Americans have yet to fulfill what they were supposed to do as per the nuclear deal.
