TEHRAN, June 19 (Shana) A number of leading companies from the UK, Germany and Switzerland have voiced their readiness to join downstream energy projects in Iran, an Iranian official said.
Managing Director of the Iranian Oil Pipelines and Telecommunication Company (IOPTC) Abbasali Jafari Nasab told Shana that in the setting that followed implementation of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) and given the removal of sanctions, the company has built up on its capabilities so much that it sends no items for mending to other countries.
"We have told all the companies keen on joining Iran's downstream projects that we are prepared to cooperate with them only in the field of technology transfer," he said.
He said IOPTC will cooperate with foreign companies in Iran only as a monitor of knowledge transfer to the country.
"We had to send some items to foreign countries for mending under the sanctions but could not bring them back because of the restrictions caused by the sanctions, but we are now in talks for bringing them back to the country," he added.
