Jordan's Foreign Minister Nasser Judeh says his country seeks to boost diplomatic relations with Iran.
Judeh, who is also Jordans Deputy Prime Minister, made the comments duringtalks with Iranian Ambassador to Amman Mojtaba Ferdosipour.
He expressed hope that Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif would pay a visit to Amman in the near future in a bid to prepare the groundfor more diplomatic consultations between the two countries.
Ferdosipour, for his part, stressed the importance of boosting consultations and visits between the two countries officials and holding meetings of advisorypolitical and security committees.
The Jordanian foreign minister paid a visit to Tehran in March 2015 and held talks with senior Iranian officials on ways to promote Tehran-Amman ties and leading developments in the Middle Eastregion such as the fight against terrorism and extremism.
In his meeting with Zarif, Judeh said the Arab League should organize Arab-Iranian dialog similar to its dialog with other countries.
