Terrorists do not know any boundaries: Iranian envoy

Tehran, July 13, IRNA Iranian Ambassador to Kuwait Alireza Enayati on Wednesday called for a collective effort to be made against terrorist and Takfiri groups stressing that terrorists 'do not know any boundaries.'

Enayati made the remarks in a meeting in Kuwait City with his Iraqi counterpart Mohammed Hussein Bahr al-Ulum. The meeting was held in the Embassy of Iraq in the Kuwaiti capital city.

The Iranian ambassador also sympathized with the people and government of Iraq as well as bereaved families of the victims of last week's terrorist bombings in Baghdad's Karada district which claimed lives of hundreds of innocent people.

The two ambassadors reiterated the need to fight terrorism and the Takfiri thoughts.

Referring to the terrorist group of Mujahedeen Khalq Organization (MKO), Enayati said the terrorist group which committed numerous terrorist acts against Iranians in the past and was abandoned by the Iranian nation in the post-Islamic Revolution era, sought shelter in Iraq under Saddam Hussein's dictator regime. The MKO terrorists and Saddam's regime remained close allies until the latter's dictatorship was overthrown in 2003.

'MKO and Daesh (ISIS) share a single ideology and their hands are tainted with the blood of a large number of innocent people,' Enayati stressed.

He added that the terrorist group also sided with Saddam's regime during his 1980-1988 brutal war against Iran and also when he attacked Kuwait in 1990.
