Yazd, July 24, IRNA Police Commander in Ardekan Colonel Reza Sadeqian said on Sunday that some 45 pieces of antiquities dating back to 4,500 to 5,000 years ago were unearthed.
Speaking to reporters, he said that the tip-off enabled the police to take delivery of the antiquities from two men involved in digging operation in the city.
Nine pieces of arrow dated back to Iron Age (3,500 years ago), eleven pieces of arrow heads, seven small bangles rings, a ring of big ancient bangle and one wide bangle, six copper bowls, three bells, two tripod dated back to 3,000 to 5,000 years ago, a small tray, a 450-year old plate with cylindrical brass belonged to the Sassanind era, were among the antiques.
