Iranian President Hassan Rouhani will give a live television speech to Iranians on Tuesday, his deputy chief of staff for communications and information, Parviz Esmaeili, says.

The president will address the nation Tuesday night on top domestic, political, economic, social and cultural issues�as well as key regional and international developments, Esmaeili added on Friday.

He said Rouhani will also inform Iranians of�the administration�s performance and its plans on�regional and foreign relations.

The president's live speech�had initially been planned for Sunday�but was later rescheduled for Tuesday.

Rouhani�s television address will come nearly two weeks after the first anniversary of the conclusion of a nuclear agreement between Iran and the P5+1 group of countries.

Iran and the five permanent members of the UN Security Council � the United States, France, Britain, China and Russia � plus Germany reached the nuclear agreement, known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), on July 14, 2015.

After the JCPOA went into effect on January 16, all nuclear-related sanctions imposed on Iran by the European Union, the United Nations Security Council and the US�were lifted. Iran in return has put some limitations on its nuclear activities.

In a�live televised interview on February 2, the Iranian president said the main objective that Tehran was pursuing in signing the nuclear agreement with the P5+1 group of countries was to lift �the siege� that "ill-wishers" had imposed on the Islamic Republic.

"The ill-wishers of this nation had managed to lay a siege around us and the objective [of the nuclear agreement] was to destroy this 'notorious wall'," Rouhani said.
