TEHRAN, Aug. 08 (MNA) � While a number of media outlets interpreted the Sun. remarks by Azerbaijan�s President to mean visa waiver for Iranians, an informed source said Iranians who wish to visit Azerbaijan will be issued with visas on arrival.


�The Republic of Azerbaijan has not waived the�visa program for Iranian nationals, rather it has agreed to facilitate airport visas for Iranian visitors,� the source clarified.

On Sunday, President Ilham Aliyev in a joint press conference with President Hassan Rouhani said the Republic of Azerbaijan has implemented certain measures to facilitate traveling to Azerbaijan for Iranian visitors.

Some media outlets had interpreted the announcement as to mean that Azerbaijan has waived the visa program for the Iranians; however, according to the source, Iranians will be issued with visas on arrival.
