Tehran, Aug 8, IRNA Islamic Republic of Iran, Russian Federation and Azerbaijan Republic presidents signed a joint statement on Monday.
Iranian President Hassan Rouhani and his Russian and Azeri counterparts, Vladimir Putin and Ilham Aliyev declared their position towards trilateral, regional and international developments before issuing the statement.
They held tripartite meeting in Baku which can open a new chapter for cooperation of Tehran, Moscow and Baku.
The agenda of the tripartite meeting focused on using Iran as the region's transit hub.
Such a status would serve Iran to be the center for economic development of the nations in the region.
