TEHRAN, Aug 16 (Shana) Iran's petrochemical output in the first 4 months of the current Iranian calendar year which began on March 20 rose by 41% from the same period last year, an official said.
Deputy Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade said on Monday that the rise in petrochemical products and raised exports are an indication that the industry sector is climbing out of recession.
"After the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), economic growth, and more production in oil, gas and petrochemical sectors are visible in the country," said Mohsen Salehinia.
He said small and mid-sized enterprises have received government facilities to enhance their production and the industrial sector is expected to be revived by the end of the current calendar year to March 20.
