Tehran, Aug 21, IRNA � Some 159 MPs in a statement on Sunday appreciated Defense Ministry for its achievements in the fields of defense and missile, expressing their support to the production of defense systems providing the armed forces with hardware and buildup of defense power.

Gholamreza Kateb, a member of Majlis presiding board announced in a formal session that 159 lawmakers have appreciated the country's defense and missile advances.

Part of the statement said that Iran's defense strategy and producing deterrent power against threats of the enemies will strengthen the country's defense might and will support the international stand of the Islamic Republic of Iran and resistance to the bullying powers.

The MPs said that defense industry is part of the country's defense power, and that indigenous production of all defense equipment, missile systems in particular, is admirable.

The legislators hailed Defense Ministry's efforts to promote the country's defense and scientific status to thwart the enemies' arbitrary sanctions.
