Managua, Aug 24, IRNA Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif announced that Iran will guarantee the investment by the countrys private sector in the Latin American countries, including Nicaragua.
Zarif made the announcement in a conference on reviewing the economic opportunities in Nicaragua which was attended by senior officials and managers of the two countries private and governmental sectors.
Zarif along with his eco-political delegation will travel to Ecuador, Chile, Bolivia and Venezuela, respectively, later.
In Nicaragua, the Iranian foreign minister attended the joint economic commission between the two countries.
Zarif is also to meet with the Nicaraguan President Daniel Ortega.
Zarif conferred with his Nicaraguan counterpart Samuel Santos on bilateral ties and international developments on Tuesday.
The topics of Zarif-Santos negotiations focused on expansion of bilateral ties, especially in the economic field, regional developments and international issues.
The meeting between Zarif and Santos took place at the venue of Nicaragua Foreign Ministry Palace.
Zarif, heading a 120-member delegation has embarked on a tour to Latin America with the aim of broadening of economic cooperation between Iran and Latin America.
The Iranian foreign minister was in Cuba on Monday and travelled to Nicaragua on Tuesday.
