JCPOA, positive for Iran-Denmark ties: Danish diplomat

Tehran, Sept 4, IRNA After the nuclear deal, known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), the positive developments are on way to widen the ties between Denmark and Iran, Danish Ambassador to Tehran Danny Annan has announced.


At a meeting held here Sunday on the issue of human rights in the two countries, Annan said Copenhagen-Tehran relations are growing.

Denmark is trying to deepen ties with Iran as it has already strengthened its relations with Tehran in the areas of archeology, neurology and climate change.

During the first five months of the current year, trade exchange between the two countries has witnessed 66 percent increase, he added.

He then stressed that political talks between the two countries have also been raised.

Iran and the six world powers- the US, UK, France, Russia, China and Germany reached a nuclear deal on July 14, 2015.

In January, 2016, 'Implementation Day' of the JCPOA was announced and anti-Iran sanctions were lifted. The action led to the increase in Iran's international interactions, growth in the economic cooperation in particular.
