MEXICO CITY, Sep. 14 (MNA) Irans Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and his accompanying delegation have arrived in Mexico City on Wed. as the first destination of his tour to be followed up with a visit to Venezuela.
On Wednesday morning local time, Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and his accompanying delegation including deputies Seyyed Abbas Araghchi and Majid Takht-Ravanchiarrived in Mexico City, capital of Mexico, and were welcomed by Director General of the Foreign Ministry's Middle East and Africa Department at the airport.
At 10:00 AM local time, Zarif is scheduled to meet with Mexican Foreign Minister Claudia Ruiz Massieu. He will leave Mexico later in the day to head for Venezuela to attend the ministerial summit of the Non-Aligned Movement on Thursday and Friday.
The 17th heads-of-states Summit of the Non-Aligned Movement will be held on Venezuelas Margarita Island on September 17 and 18. Iranian President Hassan Rouhani will also attend the Summit to deliver a speech and hand over the rotatingpresidency of the NAM to the Latin American country.
President Rouhani and the rest of Iranian delegation will then depart for New York toattend the 71st UN General Assembly Session from Sep. 20 to 26.According to Leaders advisoron international affairs, Ali Akbar Velayati, the US lack of commitment to Iran's nuclear deal will be pursued by the Iranian delegation while in New York.
