Tehran, Sept 17, IRNA Iran and Romania signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to promote their cooperation on environmental issues.
The cooperation agreement was signed in a meeting between Vice President and Head of Environment Department of Iran Massoumeh Ebtekar and visiting Minister of Environment, Water and Forests, Cristiana Pa?ca Palmer.
The MoU is aimed at developing cooperation between Iran and Romania in a wide range of environmental issues.
As per the MoU, the two sides are obliged to foster cooperation in the fields of water, soil and air pollution, sustainable management of forests, role of forests and wetlands in the development of remote areas, fostering green economy, climate exchange, global warming and etc.
Ebtekar and Pa?ca Palmer also agreed to hold joint educational and expert seminars and also conduct mutual environmental projects in both countries.
