The Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) will consider special conditions for Iran, Libya and Nigeria in the deal curbing oil output of the international cartel's members, Qatari Energy and Industry Minister Mohammed Saleh Abdulla Al Sada said Wednesday.
ALGIERS (Sputnik) Earlier inthe day, OPEC decided toestablish a technical committee tostudy a mechanism ofsharing oil production betweenindividual countries.
"Three special countries which will be treated specially is Iran, Libya and Nigeria and the OPEC countries taking toconsideration this very point," Al Sada told duringthe press conference held afterinformal talks which turned intoan extraordinary session ofOPEC.
According toa final statement adopted afterthe meeting, OPEC plans towork outa permanent format ofhigh-level consultations withoil producing countries that are not part ofthe organization inorder toensure market stability.
