Beijing, Oct 3, IRNA Qatari Minister of Education and Higher Education Mohammed bin Abdul-Wahid Al Hammadi appreciated Iran's efforts to further develop its scientific cooperation in the international arenas.
Al Hammadi made the remarks in a meeting held Monday with Iran's Minister of Science, Research and Technology Mohammad Farhadi in Kyoto, Japan, where the 13th annual meeting of Science and Technology in Society (STS) forum is underway. The STS forum started work on Sunday for three days.
As the Qatari minister said, Doha is ready to develop cultural and educational relations with Tehran.
He also said his country is ready to exchange scientific delegations with Iran.
For his part, the Iranian minister said he is interested in promoting bilateral exchange.
The two further stressed importance of signing mutual agreements on scientific cooperation.
Before Japan, Iran's Farhadi and his delegation had a two-day stay in South Korea.
