Min. calls on India not to halt settlement of oil debts to Iran

 

TEHRAN, Oct 09 (Shana) -- Iranian Minister of Economy and Financial Affairs Ali Tayyebnia stressed continuation of the payment of Iran's oil money by India.

Speaking in a meeting with his Indian counterpart Arun Jaitley, on the sidelines of the 2016 Annual Meetings of the Boards of Governors of the IMF and the World Bank Group was held in Washington DC. on Sunday, he deemed launching of broker relations as Irans top priority.

He said, Despite constructive talks, no resolution has been achieved to resume these relations.

In response, the Indian finance minister said that India is still committed to the oil fund transfer plan.

Tayyebnia also met with his Italian and Turkish counterparts in Washington.
