IRNA � Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei said on Tuesday that the future belongs to the young generation.

The Supreme Leader made the remarks in a meeting with high school students on Tuesday evening.

The Supreme Leader gave guidelines to the young generation calling on them to steer clear of interst of the hegemonic powers including the United States.

The Supreme Leader assigned the young students to follow the way of martyrs who stood up to foreign military aggression and sacrificed their life for the cause of glory of the nation and the country.

The enemies misuse their economic, political and cultural power to mislead the youth, the Supreme leader said.

The youth will be the men and managers of tomorrow and should play an active role for social develoment to thwart plots of the enemies, Ayatollah Khamenei said.

The Supreme Leader recommended the youth to spare no efforts to make use of opportunities to get well prepared for endeavours to advance the country and betterment of life standards.
