IFP- In the latest ranking of the World Customs Organisations Centre of Information and Security, Iran was ranked third in the fight against violation of customs regulations and smuggling of goods, comingafter New Zealand and Pakistan, as announced by Iran Customs Administration.
According to a Farsi report by Kayhan newspaper, during the 28th RILO (Regional Intelligence Liaison Office) Asia/Pacific National Contact Points (NCP) Meeting in Seoul, South Koreas capital, it was officially announced that Iran held the worlds third position.
During the meeting, Iranian delegation delivered a report on Irans findings and measures to combat customs violation, smuggling, drugs, and prefab and psychotropic substances.
Sharing their experiences in fight against customs violation, the members learned about the latest methods and operations. 53 people participated in the meeting, including delegates of international organizations (RILO Asia/Pacific, RILO for Western Europe, Asia/Pacific Office for Capacity Building, the UnitedNationsEnvironment Programme), Customs affiliates (Japan, Russia, Britain, the United States), and 19 countries (Australia, Bangladesh, Greece, Cambodia, China, Fiji, Hong Kong, India, Iran, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Nepal, New Zealand, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Vietnam).
