MNA � Head of the Judiciary has rejected demands that the case of 'seditionists' in the aftermath of 2009 presidential elections should be closed.

Ayatollah Sadeq Amoli Larijani who was addressing a meeting of Judiciary high-ranking officials on Monday, said that the proponents of the trial of the heads of 2009 presidential election street unrest believed that the incident was a great damage to the Establishment; �they squandered many opportunities for restoring national glory by exerting pressures from the outside along with sanctions,� he told the meeting. �They are subject matter still today for argument for the same reason; their case has not been closed yet and should be heard by a just court.�

Judiciary head emphasized that the leaders of the post-election unrest admitted that no election fraud had happened; �they attended the Guardian Council and admitted the fact, but still were objecting to some �mechanisms of interventions by specific organizations in the elections.� However, that was a belated attempt to expiate for the damage the Establishment and the nations sustained,� Ayatollah Amoli Larijani asserted.

He also marked the December 30, 2009 massive popular rallies in response to the events the other day by the seditionists as an important day of public awakening when the majority of the nation renewed allegiance to the system.

Still on a different story, Amoli Larijjani said that the Salary Bill Scandal case was being addressed with seriousness; �the Judiciary will be utterly unmoved by the propaganda and the fuss made elsewhere in the government; the Judiciary is responsible for addressing the corruption cases in all organizations and government bodies and will be steadfast in that duty,� he concluded.
