IFP- A study released by the United States Congress shows Saudi Arabia is the world�s top arms importer in 2016, paying $13bn on arms. India and Pakistan are ranked second and third with $11.1bn and $7.2bn.

According to a Farsi report by Asr-e Iran, other top arms importers include Algeria ($5.5bn), Egypt ($5bn), South Korea ($4.5bn), China ($4.1bn), Venezuela ($4.1bn), Israel ($4bn), and the United Arab Emirates ($3.7bn).
