FNA- Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps' Second Naval Zone General Ali Razmjou underlined that the IRGC Navy is prepared to give a crushing response to any possible enemy threat in the Persian Gulf using the state-of-the-art weapons and equipment.
"The IRGC Navy responds to all threats posed by enemies in the strategic Persian Gulf waterway," General Razmjou said on Wednesday.
"Being deployed on the coasts and islands and enjoying modern and complicated military equipment proportionate to different types of threats in the Persian Gulf, fortunately, the IRGC Navy responds to any threat by enemies against the Islamic Iran," he added.
General Razmjou stressed that the IRGC's Second Naval Zone which is equipped with different advanced equipment monitors all maritime traffic in the Persian Gulf.
In relevant remarks last month, Iranian Navy Commander Rear Admiral Habibollah Sayyari underlined that his forces along with the IRGC Navy are monitoring any moves inside and beyond the country's territorial waters and will not allow alien vessels to approach Iran's borders.
"Today, the Iranian Navy along with the IRGC Navy are monitoring all moves by the regional and trans-regional states in the Persian Gulf, the Strait of Hormuz, the Sea of Oman and the Northern parts of the Indian Ocean and do not allow any vessel to approach the Islamic Republic of Iran's borders or inflict damage on our interests and resources," Admiral Sayyari said.
"The Iranian Navy, fully supported by people and taking orders from the Supreme Leader (Ayatollah Khamenei), doesnt fear any threats and will be present in all arenas to safeguard the (Iranian) water borders," he underscored.
