IRNA Foreign Ministry spokesman Bahram Qasemi says Danish Ambassador to Tehran Danny Annan has been summoned over attack on Iranian embassy in Copenhagen.
'Foreign Ministry has in the wake of the summoning asked Danish government to show responsible and serous reaction to those invading the country's embassy in Copenhagen and announce the result,' said Qasemi.
'Following invasion of four anti-revolutionary elements on Iranian embassy in Copenhagen this day (Thursday), today (Thursday) evening the head of the first office of Foreign Ministry's North and East Europe department summoned Danish ambassador to Tehran to foreign ministry. While informing him of the strong protest at the act, which is contrary to the established international regulations, and at the weak performance to guarantee security and peace in the Embassy and for the personnel, called for responsible and serious dealing of the Danish government with the agents behind the attack and announcement of the result,' said Qasemi , according to the telegram channel of foreign ministry on Thursday night.
Qasemi said Danish ambassador, while voicing regret and calling the attack on the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran as 'unacceptable,' promised to reflect the issue to Copenhagen immediately and announce the result.
