MNA� CEO of Iran�s Industrial Property Office announced Sun. that Iran and Italy have agreed on expanding cooperation in the form of technology transfer.


Seyed Mehdi Mirsalehi told Mehr News that a joint project has been launched with United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) and two representatives from Italy�s Ministry of Industry. The project aims at supporting small and medium industry clusters through investment and technology transfer from Italy to Iran.

�The objective of such projects is to attract investment in renewable energies and provide for�their infrastructures through innovation,� he said. �Another objective was to help with transfer of technology through increasing investment opportunities. We plan to improve the status of the country�s industries through innovations.�

According to Mirsalehi, the improvement of small and medium industry clusters and the use of renewable energies can be a tremendous help to environmental protection.

�The project can result in the development and impact of the trade network on small and medium enterprises and their connection with international markets,� he said.
