January 24, The Iran Project An Iranian senior parliamentary figure says Iran has always sought to create unity in the Islamic world, adding today, Muslim world should unite against terrorism.
Kazem Jalali made the remarks on the sidelines of the 12th session ofthe Parliamentary Unionof the OIC Member States (PUOICM) in a meeting with Issaka Sidibe, President of the National Assembly of Mali.
Referring to Irans special position in the region and the world, the Iranian parliamentarian stressed that Islamic Republic is trying to expand relations with the world countries, especially Muslim countries.
Being a secure and stable country in the region, Islamic world and international community, Iran has always been seeking to create unity and remove division in the Muslim world, he noted.
Elsewhere in his remarks, Head of Majlis Research Center referred to Issaka Sidibes recent visit to Iran, expressing hope that Iran-Mali talks can boost the two countries parliamentary diplomacy and develop bilateral relations.
President of the National Assembly of Mali Issaka Sidibe, for his part, said that we are looking to strengthen relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Touching upon Islamic Republic of Iran's efforts to promote security in the region and the Islamic world, he expressed hope that Iran-Mali parliamentary relations develop the two countries ties in various sectors.
