Central command receives no change in orders after US puts Iran on notice

Sputnik- The US Central Command (CENTCOM) has not received any new orders after the White House decision to officially put Iran on notice for carrying out a medium-range ballistic missile test on Sunday, CENTCOM spokesperson Michael Meyer told Sputnik.


WASHINGTON (Sputnik) Earlier onWednesday, White House National Security Adviser Michael Flynn said the United States has officially put Iran onnotice afterTehran conducted the ballistic missile test.


"At this point, this is a policy issue and CENTCOM has not received any change inorders or posture," Meyer said.


On Sunday, media reports suggested that Iran conducted a medium-range ballistic missile test nearSemnan, in225 kilometers (140 miles) fromTehran.

Later, Iranian Defense Minister Hossein Dehghan confirmed Tehran had tested a new missile, according tolocal news agency Tasnim.
