Sputnik News- Former Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad urged US President Donald Trump on Sunday to stop interfere in the internal affairs of foreign states.
Former Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad wrote an open letter toUS President Donald Trump onSunday calling onWashington tostop meddling inthe internal affairs offoreign states.
"What outcome has meddling inothers affairs and military deployments toother regions and imposing thousands ofUS military, security and intelligence bases acrossthe globe had, exceptfor insecurity, war, division, killing and displacement ofnations? Have the measures brought aboutanything beyondhatred and animosity towardUS leaders, notoriety forthe US people and imposition ofmilitary expenditures?" Ahmadinejad wrote inthe letter, published bythe Tasnim news agency.
Ahmadinejad also condemned the "dominance ofthe consecutive US administrations" overthe United Nations, which led toobstructing the organizations work.
"Time has come forthe center formanifestation ofcollective- and- free will ofnations tobe set free fromthe destructive dominance," Ahmadinejad wrote, adding that the United Nations "is the shared human heritage and the result ofmans hope forbuilding a better world".
?Speaking ofthe immigration ban imposed byTrump, Ahmadinejad underlined that "it is necessary that the spirit ofthe policies ruling the US, value respect towardthe diversity ofnations and races", adding that the modern United States belongs toall nations, asthe country was built byimmigrants fromvarious countries.
This is not the first time Ahmadinejad writes a letter toa US president. While still inoffice, he wrote a letter tothen-US President George W. Bush, and in2016 he addressed Barack Obama.
